5 ways to still end 2022 slimmer

Another 5 weeks to go until the end of the year.

There are still plenty of opportunities to end the year leaner and stronger.

Now take a moment and pause:

How do you ensure that you achieve your weight goals this year (or significantly exceed them)? How can you lose some extra kilos? How do you use the slimming tips that you already have at home?

Below I give you 5 ways to end 2022 stronger and leaner than where you are now. So that you can enter 2023 with a 'Yes, I just did it 💪'.

1 The year isn't over untill its over.

Don't think now or halfway through December that it's already over, but in any case make sure that you don't get too many tasty snacks such as cheeses or Christmas bread with food in the last 2 weeks. Because what you sow in December you reap in January. Make sure you don't have to start all over again in January if you want to lose weight.

2 You can lose weight until the last day of the year.

There are many weight-loss tips available at the end of the year to help you lose a few extra pounds and pounds in December to achieve your goals: make plans now for the new year when and how you will tackle it. This way you can start the new year off right. Plans for how you, for example, will approach the period before Sinterklaas in terms of snacking. In the past, you started getting the chocolate letters, marzipan and Sinterklaas sprinkles weeks in advance. This year, only get it one to two days before the surprise evening. This is how you achieve results. Or if you bought it for the kids, you decide not to eat any of it until Sinterklaas evening itself. If you have planned dinner parties in the festive month of December, look for tasty, lean dishes for your guests. Serve these lean dishes at a festively decorated table with beautiful linen, crockery and sparkling glasses.

3 reflect on the goals you have or have not achieved this year

What specifically went great last year, what surprised you and what eating trick can you take with you into 2023? Which diet tips can you further fine-tune? What would happen in the new year if you continue this into 2023 to make this one step better or expand it even further? Tip: don't rush on to the next “shiny object” (another new weight loss program because you are now a bit stuck and want something new). So why reinvent the wheel? What have you ignored or somewhat avoided in your eating behavior this year that you actually couldn't/shouldn't have ignored? Go there with your thoughts and think about it for a moment: the breakfast, the wine, the exercise, the sweets, the eating out... Keep thinking about that part and don't ignore it and keep making choices about it. Are you going to take this with you throughout 2023 or do you decide to throw it away now and take action about it. Now go solve it and remove it from the corner of your head. Think about it for a moment and tidy it up, it will give you space in your head. What do you enjoy most about food and what gave you pleasure this year in 2022. What are you cutting back on in 2023? This is fun to think about if you have a weight loss goal.

4 Plan January already

Many of us plan a lot until the end of November and then we give up on our weight, diet and exercise plans. They sit back and relax and are also free at the end of the year.

Winter is setting in, the end-of-year crowds due to children having school holidays, work drinks, appointments with friends, etc. And we only wake up in January and suddenly the end of January arrives and there has been no concrete plan or activity yet. Then there is blue Monday. This is a shame, because before you know it, four to 6 weeks have passed in the new year.

I want you to prevent that. Plan now in the new year:

When you start exercising again When you go to the supermarket in January and buy the 'normal' groceries What you are going to do with all the chocolate and bottles of wine you received What you are going to eat for lunch the first week What you are going to cook for dinner Which low-fat snacks you stock up next to the fatty cheeses

Not only setting your goals is nice and good, but achieving them is also important and comes down to the choice of your action.

What are you going to focus on, what activities do you need, are you going to focus very consciously or will you see where it ends?

What are the 3 things you should be doing most every week to get where you want to be to get you closer to your weight goals. What if you had to do that every day to move you towards your goals. What would happen to your body and your weight? Then start there now so that you are ready for January and can start well so that you can perhaps fine-tune and add things in January instead of having slumped in January.

5 what do you need in 2023?

The first 4 points were mainly about how you can prepare. But you're on a mission with your weight if you want to lose those pounds, you have to put yourself at the center of your Slimming Journey. Sit down and see what you need.

What happened last year that made it not work?

Look at your nutrition plan to see if you want it to be different. Look at your work environment to see if there is too much temptation. Look at your environment to see who is your biggest saboteur on your slimming journey.

This way, you will be completely tuned in at the end of the year so that you know what to do at the start of 2023.
